Communication
Purpose –
Create effective and compelling parish communication vehicles so
that all parishioners know the wonderful works of Transfiguration
and are inspired to participate and support those ministries through
their own involvement.
Work
Underway
A
subcommittee of communications professionals has reviewed and
evaluated all the existing parish communication pieces and put
together a comprehensive plan to rework many pieces and establish
consistency of distribution of others.
Tranny.org –
A new parish website launched in September, 2007. The website will
become a primary source for parish news and events.
Transcript
– The weekly parish bulletin was redesigned to further emphasize the
parish’s mission of Worship, Education, Outreach and Stewardship.
Vision
– The parish newsletter, mailed to parishioners homes was redesigned
and is scheduled for distribution in November and in 2008 in
February, May, September and November.
Important Work Ahead
Modifications
to the existing parish communication vehicles will be monitored to
determine effectiveness. Other methods of communication will be
evaluated as well as content to ensure the sharing of relevant,
timely, educational information.
